Are you looking for a temporary escape? Interested in learning something new? Ready to try a new hobby? Wanting a place to hold a meeting? Wishing there were somewhere to borrow a popover pan or a karaoke machine?
Hartley Public Library has what you need.
Along with an extensive collection of fiction and non-fiction books, the library also has a variety of puzzles, magazines, and movies for all ages. Use one of several computers for an internet search to learn about a hobby, to create a document, or to read the news. The teen area includes comic books, games, books for teens and comfortable seating to hang out or join in with scheduled activities. A separate meeting room complete with laptop and LCD projector is available for presentations, meetings, or other group gatherings. On the library website you can search the catalog and newspaper archives, link to online resources, and discover services such as faxing and interlibrary loans. Try out Bridges, Iowa’s eLibrary, which is the shared collection of electronic books, audiobooks, and magazines available free to library patrons.
Friends of the Library serve the library with a wide range of programs and services. All donations including membership are tax deductible. To become a Friend or volunteer, call the library or stop in during library hours.
Memorials and contributions are welcome and appreciated. Contact the library for more information on how you can keep our library growing and serving the people of Northwest Iowa.
